Gratitude is a creative energy
Being thankful helps me wake up from the illusion that I am alone.
Hello my friends and readers!
I’m focusing on the energy of gratitude and being consciously thankful this week, so I wrote a new piece about this. The funny thing is that the more I looked at and named who and what I was grateful for in my life, the more showed up, which helped me feel so very wealthy.
I have new paintings up now! You can visit my art website to see my latest work: KrisCahillArt.com. The new series is called ‘Universes’, and I really like it.
I’m also a psychic reader and teacher - did you know that? For me, my two careers go together beautifully, and I’m always thinking of new ways to tie them together. Learning how to read energy has helped me create art I might not have found otherwise. Visit my psychic website and check out my readings and classes here: KrisCahill.com.
Thank you for showing up, for reading and listening, and for the lovely feedback many of you have given me on my work.
Love, Kris
Gratitude is a creative energy
I did not get here by myself. I've had help every step of the way.
Even when I forgot to acknowledge what I’d received, or be thankful for it, I was being gifted constantly.
Like everyone else, I have to do the work of deciding to take an action, showing up, committing to whatever I am creating, and then taking responsibility for my own actions and growth. I am the one who gets to do my own spiritual work, and be the adult in charge of myself.
Nobody can do any of that for me. This means that I get the credit, and also the blame for my choices. I also get the life experience, and the new growth. Yay me!
Because other people chose to create and share their work, their art, books, songs, inventions, plays, films, performances, teaching, their spirit and energy, I have received so much in my life. I’ve wept watching a film or play that moved me deeply, laughed out loud after seeing myself in a character in a book, sung at the top of my lungs at some rock anthem that helped me feel myself. I have healed because others gave.
Because other people had the courage and commitment to their own vision, to do the thing they decided to do, because so many of them fully gave of themselves - the teachers, healthcare workers, servers, artists, and everyone who gives — my life has been enriched. Thank you!
We humans need each other. Countless people, from the time I was born and even before then - have shown me care in my life, have helped me, have given to me. To the teachers in my life - thank you! To my family, near and far, I am so grateful to know you. To those who’ve helped me grow even when that was not their intention in the slightest, I am grateful. To the many friends I know and have known, those still here, those who’ve left this earth, and even those I outgrew and moved on from - many many thanks.
I am especially grateful for my favorite person on this planet, my gorgeous husband Noel. We laugh together, create, grow, and act like clowns on a regular basis. It works, and keeps me smiling every day.
I want to give a shout out to the difficult people I’ve known, the terrible personalities, the liars, the unconsciously unkind ones and the downright meanies - you also helped me become who I am today. Happily, I chose to become someone much kinder and more self aware, and maybe your bad example helped nudge me into awareness. Thank you.
To the many people I meet just in the course of living my life every day, even if we only meet for a few minutes, thank you for helping me. And to every worker who showed up during the height and fear of the pandemic and gave to all of us, I am so very thankful. You deserve respect and thanks for showing up to do your job.
I am also grateful to myself! I’m grateful that I made the decision to grow, expand, be courageous, try new things, take a chance on myself. I thank myself for committing to taking action, and for showing up again and again to build something I love and believe in. Even when I didn’t feel like it.
And when it’s time to release and let go of the old creation, so something new can come to life, I am the person I turn to. I have changed direction and updated my own vision and self image, over and over in this lifetime. I trust more at this age that I will find my way to the next thing, because I have done it again and again. Being an artist and a psychic has helped me grow.
How about you? What do you find yourself grateful for these days?
Thank you for showing up and for reading! Please pass this newsletter forward to anyone who might be interested.
